Mysterious Shortcut

The Mysterious Shortcut is a passage through a forest that connects Wide Pin Pinball in the Ripe Kingdom to Miner's Town in the Alpoko Kingdom. It is used in several quests from Uncle Tin as a Forest Racetrack.

After Corobo has defeated three kings and the Blue Dragon, Miner's Town can be built, which has an entrance to the Mysterious Shortcut. The passage has a tornado that whisks Corobo and his Royal Guard to the other side.

If any of the Racetrack quests are accepted, the tornado is deactivated, and Corobo will instead race an animal, or several, when he enters the passage from the Miner's Town entrance. If Corobo enters from the Ripe Kingdom side after accepting a Racetrack quest but before completing it, then this is the only time he can explore this area freely.
