Images in Credits

The Images in the Credits refer to pictures seen in various characters' dreams in the end credits sequence. While at first glance they appear to be real world counterparts of the characters, upon closer inspection they are simply the dreams of the characters seen throughout the game. For example, Long Sauvage's real world counterpart is a gray-haired neighbour, whereas he appears with his flowing white beard and crown in the credits, suggesting that this is his smaller self.

Skinny Ray's dream features the hole in the ceiling of the sky, which could mean that these dreams are occurring after the final battle, and that everyone is therefore safe. These dreams could be the characters imagining what their lives would be like in the real world without any other knowledge of it, which would explain why Corobo is the only character without a dream, as he is aware of his real life counterpart.
