Pancho (パンチョ, Pancho) is the noble steed of Howser, and one of the first characters Corobo meets on his adventure. Pancho is a cow who works for Alpoko, delivering letters to Corobo and suchlike.

Appearances

When Corobo finds the Magic Crown, Pancho witnesses the event along with Howser, Liam and Verde.

During the day, Pancho can either be found sleeping or walking around the castle. After each Princess that Corobo saves, Pancho brings the couple home on his back, although he struggles under Spumoni's weight and has to tow Martel back in her car.

When Corobo talks to to him, he usually only communicates in moos. However, he reveals he can actually speak in Tyrant Mode, where he opens up on a lot of his feelings. Pancho agrees with Duvroc's policy of wanting peace and fun, but disagrees with Shishkebaboo's indulgence. His grandma taught him not to worry as much and instead live more freely and prioritise his own happiness. He doesn't agree with obsession with TV or video games and thinks that people should look to the real world more. He thinks that attractiveness means nothing if one is annoying, and that people should be more humble. He believes that there is beauty in both perfection, but also imperfection, and that should be admired. Main article: Pancho/Quotes

Pancho has a girlfriend that he hasn't seen for a long time, and feels embarrassed by the other cow UMA who are young, rebellious, and addicted to Janga Pickles. At the end of Corobo's journey, Pancho approaches the throne to tell him that he's going on his own adventure to help out his cow cousins who have gone astray. He wishes for Corobo to keep this a secret from Howser, as he doesn't wish to upset him.

Pancho appears in cutout form on Little King's Story's Wii Menu start screen, and for the game's save data.

Etymology

Pancho's name could possibly be a reference to Mexican revolutionary Francis "Pancho" Villa, although the connection is tenuous. It could also be a reference to "Sancho", the steed belonging to Don Quixote from the eponymous series.
